WashULaw Alum Testifies at Senate Committee Hearing

Jill Bodensteiner, JD ’94, Vice President and Director of Athletics at Saint Joseph’s University, recently testified at a U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee hearing examining the changing landscape of college sports and the urgent need for federal regulatory and legislative action.

Bodensteiner and Jack Swarbrick, Notre Dame University’s Vice President and James E. Rohr Director of Athletics, are credited with securing what many believe was the first legal name, image, likeness and idea arrangement for a college student-athlete with the 2018 participation of Notre Dame women’s basketball player Arike Ogunbowale on “Dancing with the Stars”.
