Scholars in Law
For many student and their families today, financial aid is of paramount importance. WashULaw’s ability to attract and retain top students is tied to the availability of scholarships and fellowships. Your support is vital to our dream that all admitted students can afford to attend Washington University School of Law, regardless of their own financial resources. – Dean Nancy Staudt
WashULaw is a destination for the most academically gifted, creative, and imaginative students in our nation – and the world. Through generous supporters of the Scholars in Law program, 90% of WashULaw students receive scholarship support. Scholarships are often combined with loans and stipends to help meet the cost of each student’s education.
Many of our students are grateful to learn that a significant percentage of the cost of their legal education is provided by donors. Income from the endowment provides philanthropic support as well, but is not sufficient to meet the total need each year. Every scholarship gift is an investment in the promise of a law student’s future.
The Scholars in Law program offers donors the opportunity to sponsor a named scholarship on an annual basis. Annual scholarships help outstanding law students achieve their goals and aspirations. Donors to the Scholars in Law program will have an opportunity to meet your scholarship recipient(s) at the annual event held each fall.
