Nancy C. Staudt
Dean and Howard & Caroline Cayne Distinguished Professor of Law
Dear Law School Community,
It is wonderful to serve as Dean of Washington University School of Law and to experience firsthand what makes our law school one of the very best in the country, situated at the heart of a world-class research university. I look forward to building upon our successes as we pursue our goals of outstanding legal education, cutting-edge faculty scholarship, and impactful community outreach.
With our excellent student body and fantastic faculty and staff, the energy and sense of purpose at WashULaw are palpable. Our vibrant community extends beyond campus to our amazing and accomplished alumni whose tremendous support is integral to our mission.
Chancellor Emeritus William Danforth once noted: “Institutions, like human beings, tend to define their character not from one momentous event, but rather from the cumulative effect of thousands of decisions made day after day, week after week, year after year.”
Every day, I am proud of WashULaw’s wonderful commitment to our culture of collaboration and excellence. Our future at WashULaw is both bright and exciting.
