Brenda Talent

Brenda Talent is the Executive Director of the Show-Me-Institute, a research and educational institute. She was formerly with Bryan Cave LLP, as counsel. She was a partner at Bryan Cave until January 1994, when she decided to leave the legal practice to spend time with her children, manage her husband’s Congressional campaigns and co-teach the State and Local Tax course in Washington University’s graduate tax program. Professor Talent was awarded the Missouri Bar Foundation David J. Dixon Appellate Advocacy Award in 1990. She received her J.D. degree (1981) from the University of Chicago Law School and, while serving as a Captain in the Army JAG Corps, received her Masters of Law in Taxation (1985) from Georgetown University Law Center.
