September 11-12, 2020

The Washington University School of Law’s Public Corporation at a Crossroads Symposium brings together business law scholars from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Israel to discuss selected issues of comparative corporate governance, with a particular focus on challenges facing the public corporation. In recent years, political and public scrutiny of corporations has increased; corporate ownership patterns have transformed; the roles of proxy advisors and trade associations have become more visible and contested; private capital markets have grown; and technological advances have accelerated. The conference aims to shed light on these and other developments, including their implications for scholarship and policy.

Papers will be published in the Washington University Law Review, the law school’s flagship journal.
