Circuit Attorney Gabriel Gore to Give Remarks at Convocation 2023

We are pleased to announce that St. Louis Circuit Attorney Gabriel Gore will address incoming students at the Law School’s 2023 Convocation on Monday, August 21. Mr. Gore was appointed by Governor Mike Parsons and sworn in on May 30, 2023.

An experienced prosecutor and trial attorney, Mr. Gore has been practicing for nearly 30 years. Prior to his appointment as Circuit Attorney, he was a partner with the Dowd Bennett law firm, where he tried complex civil and criminal cases. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Bryan Cave LLP and an associate at Williams & Connolly LLP.

He earned his JD from the University of Chicago Law School and began his legal career as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri. He also clerked for Judge John R. Gibson of the Eight Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

Mr. Gore is passionate about community service. He most recently served on the Missouri State University Board of Governors, and on the boards of Forest Park Forever and the St. Louis Community Foundation. He was a gubernatorial appointee to the Ferguson Commission, which was charged with making recommendations to move the St. Louis community forward following the unrest in Ferguson. He was also a founding member of KIPP St. Louis Public Charter Schools.
