Refine. Retool. Regroup.
If you want to refocus your legal career, develop an expertise in a substantive area, or update your professional credentials, an LLM from WashULaw may be a perfect fit.
WashULaw offers a customized LLM degree allowing lawyers to earn an advanced law degree with a focus of their own choosing. As an LLM student, you will consult with counselors from the Office of Graduate and International Programs (OGIP) and identify the best combination of courses to fit your individual career or enrichment goals. Candidates for the LLM degree must have graduated with a JD degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
Completion of the LLM degree requires students to earn 24 academic credits at WashULaw. Students may complete the degree in as few as two semesters full-time but no more than eight semesters part-time.

Foreign Trained Lawyers: In some situations, we may consider students with an undergraduate law degree or its equivalent from a foreign institution of higher learning based on the strength of a students law school record and any professional work experience. Students holding an LL.B. from a non-U.S. law school are required to take a two-semester course: Introduction to U.S. Law and Legal Methods.
