Profile

Cort VanOstran is a Visiting Lecturer in Law. He teaches Legal Practice I and II and oversees law students selected as fellows in the Marshall Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project. VanOstran is an active member of the Missouri Bar and an Associate at Gray, Ritter & Graham, a commercial litigation firm in St. Louis. He previously practiced law with Shook, Hardy & Bacon, an international litigation firm based in Kansas City, and clerked for U.S. District Judges Audrey Fleissig and John Ross of the Eastern District of Missouri. VanOstran is active in the St. Louis community, and has worked on projects and initiatives aimed at promoting education and benefitting underprivileged communities. He earned his J.D. from Washington University and his A.B. in Government from Harvard University.
