Mihailis Diamantis

Visiting Professor of Law

Mihailis Diamantis is visiting Washington University in Spring 2022 from the University of Iowa, where he teaches Criminal Law, Corporate Criminal Law, Privacy Law & Technology, and Philosophy of Law.  His research draws attention to the neglected foundations of corporate liability and identifies in them new solutions to persistent pathologies in corporate law.  His work has appeared in such venues as the Notre Dame Law Review, the Boston College Law Review, and the George Washington Law Review.  He is the co-author of a textbook on white-collar crime and has published many philosophy papers on diverse topics.  Prior to joining the faculty at Iowa, Diamantis worked on white-collar defense as an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York and clerked on the Ninth Circuit.  He holds a PhD in Philosophy from New York University and a JD from Yale Law School.
