Maxine Lipeles

Senior Lecturer in Law Emerita

Maxine Lipeles is a highly respected environmental law scholar and former directors of the Interdisciplinary Environmental Clinic, which provides pro bono legal representation and technical support to non-profit environmental and community organizations in environmental and public health matters. Working with the clinic’s assistant director, environmental engineer, and environmental scientist, the clinic faculty supervise teams of law students and student consultants drawn from across the University. Working directly with clinic clients, their respective disciplines include environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental policy, public health, social work, medicine, architecture, and business.
