Maxine Lipeles

Director, Interdisciplinary Environmental Clinic; Senior Lecturer in Law

Maxine Lipeles directs our Interdisciplinary Environmental Clinic, which provides pro bono legal representation and technical support to non-profit environmental and community organizations in environmental and public health matters. Working with the clinic’s Assistant Director, Environmental Engineer, and Environmental Scientist, the Clinic faculty supervise teams of law students and student consultants – drawn from across the University, including environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental policy, public health, social work, medicine, architecture, and business – who work directly for Clinic clients while developing professional skills and cross-disciplinary facility.
