
Jo Ellen Dardick Lewis
Professor of Practice
Jo Ellen Dardick Lewis is the director of the Legal Practice program, the legal analysis and writing curriculum for first-year JD students. She helped develop and currently teaches Legal Practice I, which focuses on objective legal analysis and communication and Legal Practice II, which focuses on persuasive legal analysis and communication. Professor Lewis works closely with law students on all aspects of writing, including professional resumes and cover letters, to enhance clerkship and employment opportunities for the students. She has developed and taught the online writing course through our sophisticated platform @WashULaw to international law students and lawyers. Professor Lewis has extensive experience teaching in law schools in Japan, China, Korea, and Portugal. She was a Fulbright Scholar in China while she taught at Fudan University Law School.
