Daniel Kempland

Supervising Attorney, Low Income Taxpayer Clinic; Lecturer in Law

Daniel Kempland is a Lecturer in Law and Supervising Attorney for the law school’s Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC). He supervises student attorneys and co-teaches clinic seminars. His responsibilities include advising and representing low-income taxpayers in controversies with the IRS and before the U.S. Tax Court, as well as providing on-the-job training and guidance for the student attorneys to ensure that participants in the clinic possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively represent clients. Before joining the law school, Mr. Kempland worked in St. Louis as a commercial litigation attorney.
