He also wrote two journal articles, “Prison Case Law in the U.S. Courts of Appeals: 2015,” 58 Criminal Law Bulletin 1495 (2016), and “Alternatives to Solitary Confinement for Protective Custody Inmates,” 28 Correctional Law Reporter 48 (2016). Robertson is a Distinguished Faculty Scholar and Professor of Corrections at Minnesota State University. His research primarily addresses the rights of inmates.

    Charles Marshall Friedman

    Charles Marshall Friedman (“Marshall”), a renowned trial attorney, community leader, and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024, at the age of 84, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Marshall was known for his tireless legal advocacy, integrity, energy and warmth. He left an indelible mark on both the St. Louis legal community and Jewish community.
