Public Service Advisory Board (PSAB)
PSAB is a student-led organization that allocates public service funds among student groups, facilitates educational events about public service careers, creates opportunities for public service within the law school and in the larger St. Louis community, and administers the Pro Bono Pledge. PSAB achieves these goals through three committees and two chair positions that work together to create a vibrant set of opportunities for law students to learn about and participate in public service.

Public Service Committee
The Public Service Advisory Board is a student-led organization that creates and administers public service opportunities for law students. It is responsible for allocating public service funds among student groups, promoting service within the law school and greater St. Louis communities, and planning public service programming. PSAB consists of three committees that work together to create a vibrant set of opportunities for law students to learn about and participate in public service.
Pro Bono Committee
The Pro Bono Project strives to serve the community by taking advantage of law students’ unique skills and abilities and fostering the growth of a lifelong commitment to public service in the legal profession. The members of the PBP administer the Pro Bono Pledge Program by developing and organizing law-related service opportunities, encouraging participation by their fellow students, monitoring ongoing projects, and recording completed service hours. PBP members build and maintain relationships with other organizations at the university, as well as attorneys, firms, and non-profit organizations in the St. Louis area. Additionally, the PBP will plan and execute an awards ceremony for those students that have completed the Pro Bono Pledge. For more information, click here.
The Education Project coordinates faculty-student roundtables, school-wide brown bag lunches, and educational panels. The team’s goals are to seek out public interest topics often left out of the law curriculum and not covered by other campus organizations. Through discussions between students and faculty, the team works to create opportunities for students to explore careers in the public interest sector. Topics discussed have included civil rights, bioethics, community development, and health care.
