International Women's Day Celebration

International Women's Day

International Women's Day, celebrated on March 8, is a global celebration and recognition of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Since 2000, the Women's Law Caucus has meaningfully contributed to celebrations associated with this noteworthy day.

In past years' celebrations, the WLC has honored many prominent women for their accomplishments and contributions to the legal profession. Among those recognizaed are United States Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Missouri Supreme Court Justice Ann K. Covington.

At the 2016 celebration, WLC screened the film “Miss Representation” and Professor Rebecca Hollander-Blumoff moderated a discussion of the film.

Information regarding the 2017 event will be available shortly.
