Clinic Open House, Scholarship Roundtable - Nov. 12-13

The law school is hosting an open house to celebrate the Clinical Education Program’s new leadership, faculty, facilities, and programs at 4 p.m. on November 13 in the new clinic suite on the first floor of Anheuser-Busch Hall.

In addition to tours of the new clinic facilities, the event will feature remarks by law school alumnus Judge Richard Teitelman, JD '73, Missouri Supreme Court; Dean Kent D. Syverud; and Annette R. Appell, professor of law and associate dean of clinical affairs.

The open house also serves as the closing event for the law school’s roundtable on “New Directions in Dispute Resolution and Clinical Education.” The event is being sponsored by the Dispute Resolution Program, Clinical Education Program, and the Journal of Law & Policy on November 12-13.

The roundtable will bring together leading clinical and dispute resolution faculty and practitioners to discuss subjects such as mediation, experiential legal education, dispute resolution in El Salvador, and persuasion in negotiation. Papers from the roundtable will be published in an upcoming issue of the Journal of Law & Policy.

Public Interest Law & Policy Speakers Series Lecturer Jeff Giddings will be among the roundtable participants. He will deliver a lecture at noon on November 11 on "Advancing Justice Through Alternative Dispute Resolution" in the Bryan Cave Moot Courtroom.
