MAALL Friday Night
Our regular Friday night dine-around experience is being expanded this year to include a few event/dinner combinations for those who want to do more on Friday evening. For information on transportation options, consult your hosts, which may be different individuals, depending on your choice of events and restaurants. Please explore the possibilities below:
- Art and Dinner:
Visit the recently renovated St. Louis Art Museum in Forest Park. The museum stays open until 8 p.m. on Friday evenings and admission and all exhibits are free that day. To learn more about the museum visit their webpage at http://www.slam.org/. If you enjoyed the Federico Barocci Exhibition, then you will certainly like Bar Italia Ristorante or one of our other Dine-Around choices in the Central West End or on The Hill. The host for the Museum excursion will be Joanne Vogel (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Hosts for Central West End restaurants are listed on the Dine-Around home page.
- Gateway Arch Adventure:
After meeting all day, walk over to the Gateway Arch for a visit to the Museum of Westward Expansion. Take a tram ride to the top of the Arch or stroll through the museum’s exhibits to see some of the rarest artifacts from the days of Lewis and Clark as well as tools, guns, animals and wagons used by explorers, pioneers, cowboys and Native Americans. Admission to the museum is free, but tickets cost $7.00 for each of the movies and $10.00 for the tram ride to the top of the Arch. The museum closes at 6 p.m., so from there, wander back to the Drury to join one of the Dine-Arounds.
