ABA Model Land Use Procedures Act

On August 8th, 2008, the American Bar Association adopted a model land use procedures code drafted by a Joint Task Force of the State and Local Government section with the cooperation of the Administrative Law and Regulation section. The Task Force used the procedures chapter of the Growing Smart Guidebook as a template. You can access the code here and the appendix here. Click here for a video about the Model Act.

Growing Smart Legislative Hotline

The American Planning Association's Growing Smart Legislative Guidebook provides new model legislation for planning and land use regulation. The Hotline contains statutes that have relied on the Guidebook plus articles and other materials that discuss the Guidebook model legislation.
