Yordanka Nedyalkova joined the Harris Institute after graduating summa cum laude from Florida State University College of Law in May 2010 and becoming a member of the Florida Bar. Among her professional experiences, she interned at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague, the Netherlands; clerked in the Economic Crime Division of the Florida’s Attorney General Office; and worked as a Public Interest Fellow with the Innocence Project of Florida. Nedyalkova was also a member of the Florida State University Law Review, and received the distinction of best oralist in a 2010 national civil rights moot court competition in Washington, D.C.

Prior to obtaining her law degree, Yordanka earned her B.A. from the University of Rochester and an M.A. in political science from Washington University, where she did graduate work toward a Ph.D. She concentrated on constitutional and democratic theory, as well as judicial review and constitutional courts. Yordanka has taught Introduction to Political Theory at Washington University. She also worked as an editorial assistant for Transitions Online based in Prague, the Czech Republic, and as a legislative intern for the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium.
