The Dred Scott Case and Its Legacy:  Race, Law, and the Struggle for Equality

The conference was held 2007 March 1-3, at Anheuser-Busch Hall, in the Bryan Cave Moot Courtroom.  The event was sponsored by Washington University Arts and Sciences and its Center for Programs, Department of History, Department of Legal Studies, American Culture Studies Program, Center for Programs and Center for Projects; Washington University Law and its Center for Interdisciplinary Studies; and Washington University Library. Along with the partnership of: Washington University Alumni, Carmondy McDonald, Friends of Dred Scott, Thomas Fulbright, Husch & Eppenberger LLC, Mound City Bar Association, Polsinelli Shalton Flanigan Suelthaus, The Stolar Partnership, the St. Louis Association of Legal Assistants, the St. Louis Post Dispatch, and Thompson Coburn.  There are 13 Missouri Continuing Legal Education credits associated with this two-day conference.
