Law School Partners with Students for Innovative Programming

At Washington University School of Law, we prepare students to meet the world's challenges. The success of our students and their ability to tackle today's most pressing problems is our top priority. The 2014 U.S. News & World Report’s Best Graduate Schools rankings recognize the excellence of Washington University School of Law’s faculty, students, and alumni.

While we take the rankings seriously, our focus is on our obligation to get our students onto a solid path for success. Our law school continues to innovate by providing outstanding classroom experiences, unmatched experiential learning opportunities, and robust career services strategies for every student.

  • As of the Feb. 15, 2013, ABA reporting deadline, 92 percent of the Class of 2012 were employed and another 4 percent were enrolled in full-time graduate programs. We continue to engage with recent alumni who are still actively seeking career opportunities. Our data for the class of 2012 is now available.

  • We recently announced our Semester-in-Practice Externship. This nationwide program builds on Washington University School of Law’s existing comprehensive clinic and externship opportunities, currently offered in Washington, D.C., New York, St. Louis, and abroad.

  • Our internationally recognized faculty are outstanding teachers and scholars who are highly accessible to our students. Our faculty serve as judges and coaches of moot court competitions, as mentors on high-level research projects, and as advisors in career planning.

  • We are at the forefront of offering new learning options for our students. We’ve recently launched @WashULaw, the first top-tier online LL.M. in U.S. law available to foreign attorneys. We welcomed our first cohort in January; our second cohort will be joining us next month.

We are proud of our innovative work partnering with our students to place them in meaningful careers. We are continually impressed by the hard work and collaborative spirit of our students, as well as the dedication of our alumni and friends in these efforts.
