Transfer Students

The Center for Career Development looks forward to working with you to ensure that your transition to the law school is as easy as possible. Our office offers students a variety of services and resources related to identifying and securing professional employment. Below is information that will expedite the career planning process as a student at Washington University School of Law. 

HOW CAN TRANSFER STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN CCD RECRUITING PROGRAMS, INCLUDING ON AND OFF CAMPUS INTERVIEWING? 

Prior to gaining access to any CCD services, you must:

  1. Receive notification of admission to Washington University School of Law.
  2. Pay your deposit.
  3. Obtain an official transcript from your former law school.
  4. Create a PDF of your official transcript by scanning it.
  5. Email the PDF to applylaw@wustl.edu  so we have a copy of it on file.
  6. Email a copy of your legal resume to sschoen@wulaw.wustl.edu 
  7. Contact the CCD immediately to acquire a username and password to Symplicity, our online On-Campus Interviewing and jobs database (deposit must be made to receive access to Symplicity)
  8. Make an {in-person or telephone} counseling appointment with Susie Schoen, Career Strategist

WHAT ARE THE DEADLINES FOR PARTICIPATING IN CCD RECRUITING PROGRAMS, INCLUDING ON AND OFF CAMPUS INTERVIEWING?
Please check our recruiting webpage for information concerning on-campus and off campus recruiting deadlines: Importantly, the recruiting deadlines are firm and there will be no extensions offered.  

HOW CAN TRANSFER STUDENTS OBTAIN JOB SEARCH INFORMATION AFTER ENROLLING?
The Center for Career Development is a great way to start your job search after you enroll at Washington University School of Law.  Please make an appointment with Susie Schoen, Career Strategist, to discuss an overview of the office and the next steps in your career planning process.   Also, please review the Center for Career Development Website.  The password protected portions of the website are accessible only to enrolled students, so please contact the Center for Career Development Office to obtain the username and password.

HOW CAN TRANSFER STUDENTS ARRANGE A MEETING WITH A JD ADVISOR? 
You can schedule an appointment with Susie Schoen, or any other Career Strategist, by calling 314-935-6451, or by making an appointment directly on Symplicity once you receive your username and password.
