Clinic Honored for Advocacy Work with Children and Families
The law school's Civil Justic Clinic (CJC) has received Legal Services of Eastern Missouri's (LSEM's) 2011 Ashley Award. LSEM selected the CJC for work that clinic faculty, students, and staff have undertaken in protecting the rights of children and families. [more]
Observance Celebrates First Female Graduate
In 1871 Phoebe Couzins became the first woman to earn a degree from Washington University and the law school. Exactly 140 years later, more than 140 women students, faculty, lawyers, judges, and alumnae gathered in the law school’s Crowder Courtyard to honor Couzins’ achievement and to celebrate the newly licensed women members of the Class of 2011. Law School Salutes Adjunct Faculty
Washington University School of Law recently recognized its adjunct professors for their more than 1,200 years of combined service to the school. In particular, those reaching the milestones of 10 and 20 years of service were specifically honored. [more]
