Washington University Law events surrounding the Vice Presidential Debate included large-screen simulcasts of the debate; expert commentary from visiting professors who formerly advised both a Democratic and Republican presidential administration; a presentation from the lead negotiators for the Obama/Biden and McCain/Palin campaigns; and media interviews with our law faculty.

Scott J. Stone, JD '03, was recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a co-winner of the Climate Protection Award in 2008 for his contributions to an international agreement to accelerate the phase-out of a group of ozone-depleting and global warming chemicals. [
