Second Faculty Member to Join Law School

Legal historian Deborah Dinner has accepted a position as associate professor of law, joining political theorist and public law expert John D. Inazu whose appointment was announced in January. Both appointments are effective July 1, 2011. A graduate of Yale Law School and a Ph.D. candidate in history at Yale University, Dinner recently served as Harvard University’s Raoul Berger–Mark DeWolfe Howe Legal History Fellow. [more]


Strobe Talbott Delivers Major Policy Address

Strobe Talbott, president of the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., and former Deputy Secretary of State, recently gave a policy address on “The Angels of Our Nature: Restoring Unity of Purpose and Civility of Discourse in America.”

Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner
Six alumni will be honored at the Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 15 in the Crowder Courtyard, Anheuser-Busch Hall. The event honors alumni who have obtained distinction in their professional or academic careers. The 2011 Distinguished Law Alumni recipients are: Clifford M. Buchholz, JD ’70; Andrea J. Grant, AB ’71, JD ’74; the Hon. Kenneth J. Rothman, AB ’57, JD ’58; and the Hon. Tatjana V. Schwendinger, JD ’72. The Distinguished Young Law Alumni recipients are the Hon. Michael D.
