Legal historian Deborah Dinner has accepted a position as associate professor of law, joining political theorist and public law expert John D. Inazu whose appointment was announced in January. Both appointments are effective July 1, 2011. A graduate of Yale Law School and a Ph.D. candidate in history at Yale University, Dinner recently served as Harvard University’s Raoul Berger–Mark DeWolfe Howe Legal History Fellow. [
Strobe Talbott, president of the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., and former Deputy Secretary of State, recently gave a policy address on “The Angels of Our Nature: Restoring Unity of Purpose and Civility of Discourse in America.”
