Washington University School of Law

Directions to Anheuser-Busch Hall
Driving
From the spring of 2003 until the summer of 2005, access to the Washington University Campus will be impacted by the construction of a light rail system that will provide important links between the University and the St. Louis Metropolitan Region.
Forest Park Parkway Closure
The light rail system will be constructed on the north side of Forest Park Parkway adjacent to the Hilltop Campus. Construction work will require the closure of the Parkway to all vehicular traffic according to the following schedule, which has been provided by Metro, the agency responsible for the construction and operation of the light rail system:
Westbound between Big Bend and Ritz-Carlton Drive May 4, 2003
Eastbound Central to Big Bend May 4, 2003
East and westbound between Big Bend and Skinker June 2003
East and westbound between Skinker and DeBalivere August 2003

Getting Around the Main Campus
During the Forest Park Parkway closure immediately adjacent to the Hilltop Campus (June 2003 — May 2005), a temporary roadway will provide access along the south side of the parkway between Skinker and Big Bend for Washington University traffic. Please refer to the following diagram for more detailed information.

Major roadways adjacent to the campus will remain open but traffic restrictions may be in place as required by construction work. Please note that area law enforcement agencies indicate that speed limits will be strictly enforced on area streets.

Helpful Suggestions
Expect significant delays, especially during the morning and evening rush hours.
Do not park on area streets in violation of parking restrictions.
Carefully observe speed limits.
BE PATIENT!
Flying
If you are flying into Lambert International Airport, you can find taxis outside Exit MT 14 of the Main Terminal and Exit ET 12 and ET 14 of the East Terminal. Fares to the School will run about $30, plus tip.

For $3 you can take the light rail system, MetroLink, from the airport to the Forest Park station. Take the elevator or stairs to street level. Turn right and walk across Pershing Avenue to catch the Washington University Shuttle, which runs every 20 minutes during the day, and every half hour in the evening (Monday through Fridays only).
