Education
Taylor was a reference librarian at the University of Missouri-St. Louis from 1990-98. Specializing in business, she also developed collections and acted as library liaison to the faculty for the Economics, Women's Studies and Black Studies departments at UM-St. Louis. Other duties included online database searching, bibliographic instruction for individuals and classes, and desktop publishing of the Libraries' student newspaper, faculty newsletter, and research guides. Prior to her University of Missouri tenure, she served as a senior librarian at the New York Public Library's Mid-Manhattan Branch, in the Business and Science Division.
Taylor is a freelance indexer and abstractor for academic publishers and is the author of the websites: African Missouri (available from the University of Missouri [first edition] and Washington University [new and revised]) and Mules, Bears, and Broads: Missouri's Women (available from Washington University).
