Professor Staudt joined Washington University School of Law in 2000.  Before coming here, she taught for several years at the University of  Buffalo School of Law and was a visiting Professor at Vanderbilt University and Boston University. After graduating from law school, Professor Staudt clerked for the Honorable John T. Noonan in the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals and worked as a tax associate at the San Francisco law firm of Morrison & Foerster.

Her recent articles include "Redundant Tax and Spending," Northwestern Law Rev. (2006 , forthcoming); "Judging Tax Statutes: Interpretive Regimes," Loyola Law Rev. (2005, forthcoming); "Modeling Taxpayer Standing," 79 NYU Law Rev. (2004), and "Taxpayers in Court: A Systematic Study of a Misunderstood Standing Doctrine," 51 Emory Law Journal 771 (2003). She has delivered more than 50 talks and presentations on such topics as "Taxation in the Supreme Court," and "Taxation and Statutory Interpretation."
