Profile

Before joining the School of Law in 1998, Shields worked in private practice at Bryan Cave L.L.P. She specialized in employment litigation and development of OFCCP compliant affirmative action plans.

Shields graduated from Washington University School of Law in 1993 where she served on the Washington University Journal of Urban and Contemporary Law. Shields participated as a regional competitor in two national moot court competitions and in the A.B.A. Midwest Region Negotiation Competition. She was awarded the Judge Amandus Brackman Moot Court prize upon graduation.
