Initial Class Assignment
Welcome to the course in Land Use Law! You should have received three documents through your GroupWise e-mail account. One is the course syllabus. The second is a set of instructions for an optional field project you can do. The third is a discussion of federal due process and equal protection. Read and review this discussion before the first class. We will not discuss it then, but I would like you to have it in mind as we begin the course. In addition, you will find a set of plans from an article by Godschalk & Kaiser on the land use law site at the beginning of the Plans section (above the line). Instructions for finding the site are in the course syllabus. I would like you to review these plans before the first class, where I will give a lecture on planning issues and problems.
