First Day Assignment

The principal text for this course is Civil Procedure (6th ed.) by Stephen C. Yeazell.  For the first class, you should read pages 1-2 (“Locating Procedure”), 259-65 (“Litigation in the United States at the Start of the Twenty-First Century”) and 57-60 (“The Constitutional Framework”) of the text.   Please read the “Syllabus” and “Course Information” postings for more details about course materials and policies.

Coursebook Course Textbooks

The required texts for this course are Civil Procedure (6th Ed.) by Stephen C. Yeazell and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure,2005-06 Edition (LexisNexis publisher) both of which are available at the campus bookstore.  Supplemental readings will also be assigned and available in Room 301.
