Linda Martinez

2005 Distinguished Young Law Alumni

Linda MartinezLinda Martínez, J.D. '82,  maintains a significant practice in the real estate and development finance area as a partner with Bryan Cave LLP in St. Louis. She also is well-known in St. Louis for her extensive professional and civic involvements.

Her legal practice focuses on development and related federal, state, and local incentives. These include major public, private, and public/private partnerships for public facilities, museums, and sports and entertainment complexes, as well as for industrial, health care, manufacturing, and multifamily housing facilities.

Martínez’s clients include BJC HealthCare, Grand Center Inc., the Regional Housing and Community Development Alliance, the Garden District Commission, and Washington University Medical Center.  She holds leadership roles with Food Outreach, Downtown St. Louis Partnership, Circus Flora, Saint Louis Art Museum, and St. Louis Science Center.

She has been recognized as the 2004 Woman of the Year by the St. Louis Daily Record, as a YWCA Special Leader, and among the St. Louis Business Journal 100 Leaders for the Millennium.  Martínez also has been included in the Business Journal ’s annual list of community and influential leaders each year since 2001.

A longtime backer of downtown St. Louis, Martínez lives in a Washington Avenue loft building that she co-owns and helped to develop.  Martínez received her BA from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
